Temporary Accounts Payable Assistant

Grafton Banks Finance is actively supporting a well-established business in Brighton in their search for a Senior Accounts Payable Assistant on a temporary-to-permanent basis.

This role plays a key part in the finance department, taking ownership of payment runs and ensuring smooth accounts payable operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage weekly and monthly payment runs via the banking portal (BACS).
• Process internal payments and supplier statements.
• Perform bank reconciliations and postings.
• Provide ad hoc support, including monitoring the AP inbox and resolving queries.
• Assist with AP projects, as needed.

Ideal Candidate:

• Immediately available and able to start in April 2025.
• Able to commute to Brighton on a hybrid basis.
• Previous experience in an accounts payable role, including payment processing.
• AAT Level 2 or 3 (desirable but not essential).
