Nigel Jeyes

(Owner & Director)

Nigel has been in Finance Recruitment since 1990 and was a Director in the London office of one of the UK's leading recruitment businesses, before moving down to the South Coast and establishing Grafton Banks along with his wife Julia.

Working closely with Alex Gregory he then set up Grafton Banks Finance in September 2008 just as the economy was plummeting into one of the worst recessions in living memory. Despite the unfavourable economic climate, Alex and Nigel were able to steadily grow the organisation by employing their belief in outstanding professionalism and customer service.

A keen sportsman in bygone years, Nigel still plays cricket, tennis, golf and the odd game of football, when time and the demands of his two young daughters allow.

Julia Jeyes

(Owner & Director)

Julia Jeyes started up Grafton Banks Finance alongside Nigel and Alex. She has worked in recruitment for most of her career, specialising first in legal and now finance recruitment.

Outside of work, Julia's main focus is on enjoying family life with Nigel and their two daughters.

Alex Gregory

(Managing Director)

Alex has over ten years Finance Recruitment experience. He started his recruitment career at Badenoch & Clark initially placing Qualified and Part Qualified Accountants on a contract basis. In January 2006 he then set up and managed a profitable Permanent Finance Division, covering Sussex & Surrey.

Previous to this and after graduating from Salford University Alex embarked on a two year round the world trip, where his experiences ranged from the delights of hospital life in Delhi to the more relaxed islands of the South Pacific!

In September 2008 Alex joined forces with Nigel to establish and grow Grafton Banks Finance Ltd.

Paul Rudman

(Qualified Level Finance Recruitment, Sussex)

Paul has over five years' experience recruiting Qualified Accountants and Senior Finance Executives.

In March 2010 he joined Nigel and Alex at Grafton Banks Finance in Hove, to help grow their interim and permanent Qualified Division across the South of England.

Paul started his recruitment career with Hays, working in their Senior Finance Division, placing qualified accountants into permanent roles across East and West Sussex.

Prior to this and after graduating at Brighton University, Paul worked within the pharmaceutical field sales industry, having returned from a lengthy stint as Cruise Director on the Princess Cruises Cruise Line, travelling around the Caribbean, Mexican Riviera and Alaska.

To relax Paul likes to spend his time away from work with his family and playing football, golf and running half marathons (when he's not injured!).

Paul Bavin

(Manager - Interim Finance Division)

Paul has been working in recruitment since the summer of 2008 when he graduated from the University of Gloucestershire.

Starting his career with a leading international recruiter Paul worked across West Sussex and Hampshire placing part qualified accountants, progressing quickly he moved along the coast to recruit for permanent qualified candidates in East and West Sussex.

In November 2010 Paul joined Grafton Banks Finance to establish and grow their part qualified offering. In May 2013 he took over the management of the interim finance division.

To relax outside work Paul enjoys playing football and keeping fit by running and cycling.

Emma Prior

(Interim Finance Recruitment)

After graduating from the University of Portsmouth in 2007, Emma started her career working for a large international recruiter specialising in interim finance recruitment across Hampshire and West Sussex.

In the summer of 2011, Emma joined Nigel, Alex and the team at Grafton Banks Finance to develop an interim finance division across East and West Sussex and Surrey. Emma works closely with Paul Bavin and specialises in placing interim finance professionals into companies across East & West Sussex and Surrey. Outside of work Emma's focus is on enjoying family life with her two sons and long-term partner. Emma likes to relax by reading a good literary classic - she is a Jane Austin fanatic - cycling across the South Downs and visiting remote areas of the world.

Lucy Jenner

(Qualified Finance Recruitment, Surrey)

After graduating from the University of Sheffield in 2005, Lucy spent several years working in Event Management. In November 2016 Lucy joined the interim team in the Reigate office of Grafton Banks Finance. Prior to joining Grafton Banks Finance, Lucy's recruitment career included working for a large international and a smaller independent company. She has extensive experience of the qualified and part qualified finance permanent market.

Lucy works in the Reigate offices offering qualified level finance recruitment solutions across Surrey.

Lucy played hockey for England from the age of 12 and she now enjoys keeping fit, country walks and travelling.

Claire Jones

(Public Practice Finance Recruitment)

Claire has more than thirteen years recruitment experience, initially within the healthcare sector and for the past nine years within accountancy and finance. She has worked for leading international recruitment businesses and independent firms and has dealt with both permanent and interim vacancies at a qualified and part qualified level, latterly specialising in the public practice market. Claire joined in January 2012 to establish and grow the Public Practice Division, placing qualified and part qualified accountants into practices across Sussex and Surrey.

When not at work Claire tries to keep fit by going to the gym, running and walking on the South Downs. She travels in Asia and Europe whenever she can, enjoys cooking and gardening and is a long standing season ticket holder at Brighton & Hove Albion FC.

Sophie Corke

(Part Qualified Finance Recruitment, Surrey)

Sophie joins the Reigate office of Grafton Banks Finance, where she will focus on part-qualified accountancy recruitment.

Sophie graduated from Southampton University in 2013 and started her career in recruitment with a leading international recruitment organisation. To date she has been recruiting for transactional finance through to finalist level for a number of global businesses and SMEs across Surrey.

With Grafton Banks she will focus on the part qualified and graduate finance market across Surrey, mirroring what Neil Watson offers to the Sussex market from the Brighton office.

Outside of work Sophie enjoys attending regular yoga classes, enjoying long walks with her dogs Alfie and Layla and cooking up feasts in the kitchen for her family and friends.

Faye joined Grafton Banks Finance in the summer of 2016, following her graduation from the University of Sussex. As part of the interim team Faye's role will be to assist with sourcing candidates, administrative projects and general office management. Outside of work, Faye enjoys reading, theatre and the cinema.

Matthew Roff

(Non Qualified Level Finance Recruiter, Interim and Permanent, Sussex)

Matthew graduated from Brighton University in 2008 with a degree in English and Media. He started his career in telesales before training to be a TEFL teacher and living abroad in Barcelona and Xi'an in China teaching children to speak English.

Matt has over five years' recruitment experience within financial services. His previous role involved recruiting for large banks and consultancies offering interim resource solutions within risk and regulation and retail banking.

At Grafton Banks Matt will be focusing on non qualified finance recruitment across East and West Sussex.

Outside of work, he likes running, playing badminton, travelling and socialising with friends. Currently single and trying to navigate through the world of internet dating.

Neil Watson

(Part Qualified Level Finance Recruitment, Sussex)

After graduating in 2004 from the University of Wales - Cardiff, Neil spent several years in the fitness and leisure industry prior to heading to the bright lights of London. In London he secured a sales role in high end retailer Harrods, where his Welsh roots made him a popular and successful salesman.

Neil relocated to Brighton during the summer of 2016 where he started his recruitment career at Hays before joining Grafton Banks Finance in September of 2017. He joins Paul Rudman and Alex Gregory on the Sussex team, where he will manage and develop the part qualified accounts market.

Outside of work Neil likes to remain as active as possible and is a keen sportsman (whilst his knees still allow) He likes to visit friends dotted around the country and is an avid Swansea City supporter.

(Interim Finance Recruitment Sussex & Surrey)

Mike joins Grafton Banks Finance to work alongside Paul Bavin on the Interim team, placing qualified accountants into industry on an interim and contract basis, across East and West Sussex.

Mike has extensive recruitment experience within the interim finance sector, having started a career in recruitment straight after graduating from Canterbury Christ Church in 2013. He recruited for large banks and consultancies across the UK on a variety of interim projects within compliance, risk and remediation. Mike takes a change of direction into accountancy to join the team at Grafton Banks Finance.

Outside of work Mike enjoys travelling, long dog walks and sport. He can be found trying to hone his skills on the golf course and snooker table.
