They are now seeking an ambitious and skilled Assistant Finance Manager to join their dynamic team.
Job Description:
As the Assistant Finance Manager, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth financial operations of the company. Reporting directly to the Finance Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing a variety of accounting tasks, providing accurate and timely financial information, as well as fostering strong working relationships with internal departments and external stakeholders.
Responsibilities:
- Assisting in the preparation and analysis of financial statements, budgets, and forecasts.
- Managing day-to-day financial transactions, including accounts payable and receivable, general ledger entries, and bank reconciliations.
- Collaborating with the Finance Manager to prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
- Conducting regular audits to identify and resolve any discrepancies.
- Assisting in the development and implementation of financial policies and procedures.
- Providing support in financial forecasting, cost analysis, and cash flow management activities.
- Monitoring and reporting on company expenses to ensure cost efficiency.
- Supporting the Finance Manager in ad hoc financial projects and initiatives.
Candidate Requirements:
- Part qualified (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) or Qualified by Experience (QBE) with a strong background in finance or accounting.
- Solid understanding of accounting principles and financial processes.
- Previous experience within the construction industry is required
- Proficient in using accounting software and MS Office applications (especially Excel).
- Highly organised with excellent attention to detail.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Career Progression:
