Financial Controller Designate

** Manufacturing Financial Controller Designate Opportunity – East Sussex**

£75,000-100,000 plus 15% bonus, plus benefits, plus 2 days WFH

Grafton Banks Finance is working exclusively with a growing UK manufacturing business in East Sussex, part of a larger global business, in their search for a competent and credible Financial Controller designate with manufacturing experience. This role is to take over from the retiring Financial Controller and requires an enthusiastic individual to lead the finance team. In the medium to long term there is potential for this role to become Financial Director.

Some of the key responsibilities include:

• Responsible for monthly, quarterly and annual reporting to parent company in accordance with group instructions.
• Lead the monthly management and board meetings (UK)
• Liaise and report on the US Subsidiaries
• Develop and adapt internal procedures for monthly closing to ensure high quality and timely reporting, including accruals, tax reserves, etc.
• Implementing IFRS across all reporting.
• Analyzing financial data and creating reports for management, stakeholders, and external parties, such as vendors or lenders.
• Tax planning
• Manage contact with auditors and banks.
• Prepare statutory annual financial statements, annual corporate tax returns, multi-currency work and forex.
• Carrying out analysis of profit and loss accounts and balance sheets and preparing cash flow projections and analyses.
• Lead, mentor and develop a finance team of 4.

The successful candidate will be

• A fully Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA), ideally with a practice training
• 8 years+ post qualified experience
• Manufacturing sector experience is essential
• Evidence of holding responsibility for monthly accounts for an SME, as well as quarterly and year end reporting.
• Able to demonstrate strong core technical accounting knowledge - IFRS
• Happy to be on-site 3 days per week in East Sussex. (London based candidates cannot be considered for this role)

In return for your knowledge and experience you will be rewarded with a highly competitive base salary £75-100k base, plus up to 15% bonus, plus benefits and 2 days WFH.
