Grafton Banks Finance is looking to recruit for an experienced and detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join our busy multi-site practice. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual who is confident managing bookkeeping duties alongside personal tax and VAT return preparation.

Key Responsibilities

• Managing bookkeeping for a mixed portfolio of clients
• Preparing and submitting VAT returns accurately and on time
• Processing personal tax returns and supporting related compliance work
• Maintaining accurate financial records and reconciling accounts
• Liaising with clients across multiple sites and responding to queries professionally
• Using cloud-based accounting software such as Xero, QuickBooks, and bespoke softwares
• Assisting with general practice administration and supporting the wider accounts team

Requirements

• Previous experience working within an accountancy practice is essential
• Strong bookkeeping knowledge with VAT return experience - CIS would be desirable
• Experience processing personal tax returns
• Excellent organisational and time management skills
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple deadlines
• Strong communication and client service skills
• Familiarity with accounting and tax software packages
