Temp Accounts Assistant

Grafton Banks Finance are partnering with a well-established, Worthing based business that is seeking to recruit an Accounts Assistant on an initial 3-month temporary basis, with a view to the role becoming permanent. While initially temporary, the role will support the finance function across a broad range of duties and play a key part in a systems migration project.

Responsibilities may include:

• Processing high volumes of invoices, including coding and uploading
• Credit control
• Reviewing payroll
• Raising purchase orders
• Preparing payment runs
• Bank reconciliations
• Assisting with the migration of financial data between two platforms
• Supporting the review and improvement of financial processes

Our client is looking for someone who:

• Is studying towards an accountancy qualification (AAT or early stages of ACCA)
• Is able to commute to the Worthing office
• Has strong Excel skills (e.g. VLOOKUPs, pivot tables)
• Available on immediate or short notice, to start February 2026.
• Has prior experience in a varied finance or bookkeeping level role.
