Grafton Banks Finance is working exclusively with a leading insurance group to recruit a Financial Accounts Manager. Following significant growth in the past two years the Group CFO has taken the opportunity to create this new leadership role with responsibility for preparation of the monthly, quarterly and annual reporting.
This role will suit a newly qualified accountant from practice (ACA or ACCA) who is looking to make their first move into industry. Applicants will need to be technically strong, intelligent and ambitious and will be rewarded with a challenging role in an exciting business with the opportunity to progress their careers as the business grows.
Reporting to the Group CFO the key responsibilities will include:
Responsibility for the smooth and timely running of the monthly close cycle across the group and operating entities.
Responsible for the preparation of the annual statutory and quarterly regulatory reporting obligations of the group.
Responsible for the preparation and integrity of the company’s tax returns.
Ensuring the group and operating subsidiaries comply with applicable to accounting standards.
Responsible for providing oversight of the group’s debt or equity obligations to its key external stakeholders.
Delivery of the month end balance sheet review to ensure proportionate oversight and controls are in place.
Ensure second line financial reconciliation activities are both efficient and effective across all operating subsidiaries.
Manage a small team of financial accounts assistants in a high growth personal lines insurance market.
It is essential applicants are able to work in a fast paced rapidly evolving business and can demonstrate strong communication, organisational, and leadership experience. Experience auditing financial services or insurance businesses and managing small teams would be an advantage.
